Fall Work On the Vail Golf Course 2010
The Vail Golf Club is nestled at the base of the Gore Mountain Range in the Rocky Mountains and presents golfers with a unique 18-hole, par 71 experience at 8,200 feet elevation. The golf club is open to the public and offers a full service golf shop, group and corporate outings, professional instruction, launch monitor, driving range, practice area, club storage, golf swing analysis, club rentals, demo days and an on-site restaurant, Happy Valley Grill. Recognized by Golf Digest as a "Top 100 Resort Course," golfers enjoy watching their balls fly 10 percent farther in Vail’s high altitude environment, while they challenge themselves on greens that follow the Gore Creek and lay adjacent to the White River National Forest. New in 2009, the golf club renovated its irrigation system. The new system will allow the course to be better prepared for a drought, water targeted areas and be the best environmental stewards possible.esigned and built by one of Vail’s pioneers, Ben Krueger in 1962, Vail’s course continues to be thought of by many as one of the best courses in the Vail Valley-- a must play among locals and guests alike.

The Vail Golf Club is open May through October, weather permitting. Once the golf course is blanketed with snow, it serves as Vail’s Nordic Center during the winter months offering 17 kilometers of groomed ski track and 10 kilometers of separate snowshoe trails.

Vail’s mountain-style, 18-hole course features unique fairways, smooth putting surfaces and a scenic layout amidst the White River National Forest highlighted by views of the Gore Mountain Range. The fairways are tree-lined and generally flat, but numerous greenside and fairway bunkers, as well as beaver ponds will test a golfer’s accuracy. Vail’s course features 7,024 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. A course rating of 70.8 and slope rating of 121 makes it truly a must play for golfers of all skill levels.

Guest tee times may be reserved up to six months in advance with a credit card guarantee. No advance reservation fee is required.
Punch card holders and season pass holders may make tee times two days in advance during the shoulder season. During peak season, tee times may be made one day in advance Friday through Sunday and two days in advance Monday through Thursday. Passes are restricted before noon Friday through Sunday.
Eagle County residents may reserve tee times up to seven days in advance with a credit card guarantee. Eagle County residents must prove residency by providing the following: a driver's license, state issued I.D. card or passport with an Eagle County community address.
Vail taxpayers may reserve tee times up to seven days in advance and must provide proof of residency to receive the VRD (Vail) Resident Rate. Proof of residency includes property tax information or copy of a six month lease and a photo I.D.

All reservations are subject to a 24 hour cancellation policy.

The Vail Golf Club offers a variety of instructional opportunities for ages six and older that will help golfers prepare and take new skills to the range, then on to the course. Lessons can be tailored to fit a player’s needs and include items such as individual assessments of player’s physical strengths and weaknesses, strategies to improve their mental game and plan for the most efficient practices possible.

The Youth Foundations' First Tee of Eagle County Junior Golf Camps | Ages 6 to 17 | Registration
Join Vail Golf Club staff for this unique junior golf program that teaches children life lessons through the game of golf. Camps take place from June through August at the Vail Golf Club. Cost is $85 per child, per session.

The Vail Golf Club offers a Women's League and Men's League that take place late every Wednesday May through September. Vail Golf Club also hosts the popular Vail Senior Golf Club, which plays on Monday mornings beginning in June through September. The Vail Golf Club is located approximately 100 miles west of Denver or 147 miles east of Grand Junction along Interstate 70. Exit 176, turn on to South Frontage Road (east), travel east approximately 1.5 miles, then turn right on Vail Valley Drive. Follow this approximately ½ mile until you arrive at the Vail Golf Club.
