Kitchen Supervisor

As a Kitchen Supervisor, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and culinary excellence within our establishment.  This position is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef & Sous Chef in all aspects of the F&B operation including but not limited to food preparation, working stations on the line, opening and closing the restaurant all while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness and efficiency.  The ability to utilize excellent time management to balance preparation of all food items, execution of running the line and overseeing several line level staff at a time will be crucial to the success of the overall department. 

May be responsible for assisting the Culinary Management team in any and all of our food and beverage outlets within the Vail Recreation District.

Represent the golf course, food and beverage department and the Vail Recreation District in a professional and friendly way in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

·       Adhere to all food safety guidelines

·       Responsible for keeping their area and kitchens organized and neat

·       Execute recipes accurately and efficiently.

·       Able to create and execute prep lists

·       Opening and/or closing of the kitchen

·       Tasks asked by the Chef or MOD

Qualifications:

·       3 + years working in a kitchen is required

·        2 + years supervisory experience preferred

·       ServSafe certified or equivalent preferred

·       Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day

·       Able to lift at least 50 lbs

·       Able to work holidays, weekends and evenings

·       Can endure hot temperatures, loud noises, and some stress in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment

Wage Range: $26-$28 per hour DOE

BOH:

Line Cook (Banquet & Restaurant): $24 - $26 beginning mid May (PT & FT)

Prep Cook: $23 - $25 beginning mid May (PT & FT)

On-Call Banquet Cook: $27 beginning late May

Dishwasher: $22 - $24 beginning late May

FOH:

Server: $12 plus tips beginning mid May

Starter Haus F&B Attendant: $14 plus tips beginning mid May

Beverage Cart Attendant: $14 plus tips beginning late May/early June

On-Call Banquet Bartender: $12 plus service charges

Gymnastics

Assistant Coach - Gymnastics

Provides leadership and support for Vail Recreation District’s (VRD) gymnastics division in the recreation department, including participant and community relations, instructing participants, assisting with facility operations, administrative support and scheduling, and ensuring the safety of participants and staff.

Reports to: The gymnastics director and the head coach

Responsibilities: Supervises the following positions: part-time coaches, seasonal staff
