Registration fills quickly for the Vail Recreation District's youth summer day camps and sports camps, so sign up early! Camps provide children with an opportunity to develop new skills and refine existing talents in baseball, basketball, sports training, lacrosse, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, tennis, soccer and more.

Skyhawks Cheerleading Camp

AUGUST 5-9| AGES: 4 TO 10 YEARS Skyhawks cheerleading teaches young athletes all the essential skills to lead the crowd and support the home team.

Gymnastics Camps

JUNE-AUGUST | AGES: 5 AND UP Children will learn how to flip, tumble and spin in these week-long gymnastics camps. Campers also enjoy daily games, crafts and adventures to local parks.

Flag Football Camp

JUNE 3-7, 2024 OR AUGUST 5-9, 2024 | AGES: 7 TO 14 YEARS Skyhawks flag football is the perfect program for young athletes who want a complete introduction to football, or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for league play.

JUNE 10-14| AGES: 6 AND OLDER Join Colorado State University-Pueblo coach Stan Sanchez and his team for a week of fun! Learn new baseball skills or refine existing ones. This camp is designed for all abilities.

JULY 22- 25 | AGES: 6 YEARS AND OLDER Join former NBA All-Star, All-Pro Sydney Moncrief and his award-winning staff as players learn new skills while building on their fundamentals of shooting, passing, dribbling, footwork and defense.

Youth Golf Lessons & Camps

JUNE-AUGUST | AGES 6 AND UP Vail Golf Club offers a variety of golf camps where kids will learn fundamentals and etiquette of the game. Private lessons are also available for youth golfers.

June-August | Ages: 6 and up | Dobson Arena hosts exciting youth hockey camps every summer! Bob Johnson Hockey School is a reason why many families vacation in Vail in the summer, and Pro Ambitions provides circuit training style hockey instruction and small area games.

Lacrosse Camps

JUNE 24-27 | AGES: 7-12 Find out why lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the country! Athletes will learn the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment. Staff helps campers learn not only the sport of lacrosse, but also important life skills such as respect, teamwork and discipline.

Mini-Hawk Sports Training Camps

JULY 8-12, 2024 | AGES: 4 TO 7 This multi-sport program was developed to give children ages four to seven a positive first step into athletics. The essentials of baseball, basketball and soccer are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encouragement and a big focus on fun.

JULY 15-19 OR JULY 29-AUGUST 2| AGES: 4 TO 16 YEARS Join the VRD as they bring in professional coaches from around the world this summer to share their expertise on what makes these country's the most successful in the world.

Junior Tennis Camps

JUNE-AUGUST | AGES: 7 TO 17 Junior tennis camps are half-day lessons, taking place during five-day sessions. Children will be grouped by age level with a ratio of no more than six students to one coach in each session.

Youth Pickleball Camps

JUNE-AUGUST | AGES: 7 TO 17 Weekly pickleball camps offer kids the opportunity to learn how to play one of the fastest-growing sports in the country! Pickleball combines elements of tennis, table tennis and badminton.

JUNE 26-28, 2024, AND OR AUGUST 7-9, 2024 | AGES: GRADES 6-12 (ENTERING) Join former local standout Britney Brown for fun and energetic volleyball camps. Work on individual skills and fundamentals of passing, setting and attacking.
