Daily Summer Schedule At Golden Peak Pickleball Center (subject to change)

Open Play will be split into the following two sections:
1. 8-10 a.m. Open Play (all levels welcome and mixed together)
2. 10 a.m.-noon Level Open Play:

• High Intermediate to Advanced (3.5 and up)
• Low to Medium Intermediate (2.5-3.0)
• Beginner (1.0-2.0) - If you have NEVER played pickleball before, we recommend taking a lesson prior to playing Open Play as it is important to learn the rules and basic strategy. Email pickleball@vailrec.com for info on Intro to Pickleball class offerings. 

Players will be encouraged to enter their designated court via the specific court gates. Signage will be posted to help guide and direct players. Please do not walk across a game that is in progress.

Paddle Saddles will be utilized to organize each foursome by level. If you would like to keep your foursome together, you will be able to do this by moving to the back of the line and staying together as a group while moving to the front together. You may need to wait out one extra game to keep your group together. If there are one or two players extra beyond your foursome at your level, staying together as a foursome might not be possible. Check with the court monitor if you are unsure.

A staff court monitor will be available to help manage groups, when needed.

VRD Resident Court Reservations

• Court reservations are available for VRD residents up to one week in advance. VRD resident reservations can be made online at www.vailrec.com/register under the Adult Sports and Activities tab. You can also call or text 970-390-2952 to make your VRD resident reservation.

Non-Resident Court Reservations

• Please contact staff 48 hours in advance at 970-390-2952 - text message works best!
• If courts are available for the requested day and time, you will be added to the schedule
• Payment will be taken at time of confirmation by staff, or on-site the day of the reservation

Children under the age of 16 must be SUPERVISED by an adult during court reservations timeframes. The exception to this rule is youth players who hold a season or annual pass.

Balls are available for purchase and paddles are available for rent or purchase. Passholders will receive discounts on clinics and leagues.

This great weekly class for new players starts June 10, 2024 and will be available every Monday from 3-5 p.m. The cost is $70/class.
 

Intermediate & Advanced Pickleball Clinics
Open for registration!

Golden Peak Pickleball Center
These sessions are three weeks long with 10 spots per session. When you sign up, your commitment is to attend all three classes within the session. Intermediate & Advanced clinic students much be approved by Pickleball Director Ben Moore. When you sign up, you will be automatically be put on the waitlist. Ben will then assess your skill level and choose the active roster for each clinic. This does not mean that if you don't make the roster for Session 1 that you won't be able to attend Session 3.

• Intermediate Session 1 | June 12, 19, 26 | 3-5 p.m.
• Intermediate Session 2 | July 10, 17, 24 | 3-5 p.m.
• Intermediate Session 3 | Aug. 7, 14, 21 | 3-5 pm

• Advanced Session 1 | June 14, 21 and 28 | 3-5 p.m.
• Advanced Session 2 | July 12, 19, 26 | 3-5 p.m.
• Advanced Session 3 | Aug. 9, 16, 23 | 3-5 p.m.

Cost per session: $250 per person, to be paid if put on the active roster

Coach-to-student ratio: Two coaches to 10 students

Any cancellations for clinics must be made one week prior to the first class in order to receive a full refund.

NEW for 2024, summer and annual passes will be available only to VRD residents. If you are a year-round VRD resident and want to play all year, make sure you purchase the annual pass!

Once you have signed up for your season pass membership, save time at the courts by downloading the Amilia app on your phone. Enter your login information, then navigate to "Account" and select your name. You will see your membership barcode, which you can then scan at courtside check-in at Golden Peak. Presenting your membership card at the courts is going to be mandatory this summer every time you come to play. Please be prepared by downloading the app and have that card ready. If you would like a hard copy of your card, please see staff at the check-in table at Golden Peak.

The best place to park during the outdoor season is at the east end of the Vail Village Parking Structure, which is less than a five minute walk to Golden Peak.

There are only eight designated, painted parking spots at the Golden Peak Pickleball Center. If the eight spots are taken when you arrive to play, please park in the Vail Village Parking Structure - the walk from the structure to the courts is only a few minutes; view a parking-to-courts map here if you are not familiar with area.

We ask that when arriving to the courts, participants and spectators do not park on the grass or in any undesignated spot. If players have parked illegally, they will not be allowed to play pickleball that day. We thank you for your cooperation in helping us ensure that the parking lot remains safe and our grass remains undamaged.
 

Under no circumstances is parking permitted in the neighboring lots of the Golden Peak Pickleball Center (for example, Texas Townhomes). The Golden Peak Pickleball Center is not responsible if cars are ticketed or booted if they are parked in neighboring parking lots.

Leashed dogs are welcome and must be tethered to one of the trees in the upper grass area (above the bleachers). Dogs are not allowed within the facility walkways/sidewalks and are also not allowed tied to the perimeter of the courts. If your tethered dog is barking while you are playing, please remove your dog so as not to disturb our players. Thank you for understanding and helping to make our facility welcome for all. 

Indoor Court Reservations (subject to change)

Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
Session 1: 5:45 -7:15 p.m.
Session 2: 7:15-8:45 p.m.
Session 3: 8:45-10:15 p.m.

• Volunteers are needed to help set up and tear down for Sessions 1 & 3
• Foursomes may only play one session

Saturdays
2-7 p.m. - players can reserve up to two hours at a time.
Court reservations must be made in advance at www.vailrec.com/register. Reservations may be made up to one week in advance.

Open Play

Sundays
2-7 p.m., no reservations required
