Groups & Private Events

Looking for a unique venue in Vail for a special event or gathering?

The VRD offers a variety of venues for both large and small-scale events from birthday parties to family reunions, from weddings to corporate retreats, from sports tournaments to concerts. Facility rentals are available for the Vail Golf & Nordic Clubhouse, Dobson Arena, the Grill on the Gore resturant at the Vail Golf Club, Imagination Station and at Ford Park and the Vail Athletic Fields.

Vail Golf & Nordic Clubhouse 

The Vail Golf & Nordic Clubhouse and the Grill on the Gore staff are available to help plan and facilitate a variety of events and activities including weddings, corporate events, golf tournaments, group retreats, rehearsal dinners, family reunions, birthday parties, bar mitzvahs, holiday parties and more. Dobson Arena 

Throughout the year, Dobson Arena plays host to corporate events, concerts and various groups. Some recent highlights include concerts featuring The Fray, Ziggy Marley, Big Head Todd and the Monsters and Leftover Salmon to name a few, events such as the Lippizaner Stallions and E.A.G.L.E.S. State Gymnastics Championships, and groups such as the Future Business Leaders of America. Birthday Parties

Birthday parties have never been so much fun! Take advantage of unique venues to host your child's next birthday at the Vail Gymnastics Center, Dobson Ice Arena or Imagination Station. Each provides staff for the party and can provide assistance with even the most elaborate ideas.

Vail Gymnastics Center 
BIRTHDAY PARTY REQUEST FORM

Host a birthday party at the Gymnastics Center, and guests will enjoy access to the trampoline, loose foam pit, rope swing, obstacle course, games and more. Parties include instructor/supervision. You are encouraged to bring food, non-alcoholic drinks and decorations, as these are not included.

To request a party at the Vail Gymnastics Center, please fill out a birthday party request form and email the request to gymnastics@vailrec.com. Please call the Vail Gymnastics Center at 970-479-2287 for more details.

Imagination Station/VRD Community Programming

Birthday Parties: We provide you a space for snacks, cake, ice cream, etc. Invited guest parents are welcome to stay. Gratuities are always appreciated, but not required. To make a birthday party reservation please email the Imagination Station at community@vailrec.com.

  • $250 includes: 90 min party for up to 15 children. Play in Imagination Station and choose ONE provided activity (making slime OR making shrink art).
  • $300 includes: 90 min party for up to 15 children. Play in Imagination Station and choose ONE provided activity (making pizza OR painting pottery).

Enjoy indoor, on-ice skating or bumper cars at Dobson Ice Arena. Fees for private parties vary, or skating birthday parties can be held in conjunction with public skate time. Call 970-479-2271 for more information.

Ford Park And Vail Athletic Fields

The VRD athletic fields continued to draw some of the largest sports competitions in the nation, while serving as home field for The Vail Rugby Club and Pepi's Soccer Club. Rental fees of the athletic fields vary and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Some popular events held throughout the summer season include:

  • King of the Mountain Volleyball Tournament: 400 participants.
  • Vail Lacrosse Shootout and Warrior Colorado Lacrosse Tournament: 5,000 participants.
  • Vail Invitational Soccer Tournament: 600 participants.
  • Kick-It 3v3 Soccer Rocky Mountain Regional Finals: 1,600 participants.
  • Vail Valley Soccer Club Challenge Cup: 2,400 participants.
