Get ready for Halloween fun! The Vail Recreation District will host the 32nd Annual Trick or Treat Trot on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024. The Trick or Treat Trot is a great opportunity for kids (infants up to 10-year-olds, plus their families) to trick-or-treat through the streets of Vail from 2 to 5 p.m.

Participating merchants will have an orange jack-o-lantern leaf bag outside their front door. Trick-or-treating may begin in Lionshead or Vail Village. The Trick or Treat Trot takes place rain, snow or shine! Participants are asked to bring their own reusable bags.

Coloring Contest
The VRD is also hosting a Halloween coloring contest! Download the Coloring Contest information page and coloring sheet below and get your kids started on creating their Halloween-inspired drawing. Entries are due by Thursday, Oct. 24 and can be dropped off at the Vail Public Library, Imagination Station or Red Sandstone Elementary School in Vail. Entries can also be mailed to VRD Community Programming, 395 E. Lionshead Circle, Vail, CO 81657.

Vail Public Library
The Vail Public Library will also be hosting some fun events! Join us for Be-witched with Ms. Laurine before the Trick or Treat Trot on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 1 p.m. Enjoy not-so-scary stories about Halloween witches and assist Ms. Laurine in concocting a fiendishly delicious witch’s brew. (There will not be an 11 a.m. Storytime that day).
