Each year, Vail plays host to a number of major sports tournaments and special events. From soccer to lacrosse to volleyball, Vail has it all!

Dobson 45th Anniversary Party

APRIL 2, 2024 Join the Vail Recreation District in celebrating the 45th Anniversary of Dobson Ice Arena onTuesday, April 2 from 3:30 to 8 p.m.!

Easter Egg Hunt

MARCH 30, 2024 Join the Vail Recreation District for its annual FREE Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt taking place Saturday, March 30 in Vail Village! Families and their children ages two to 10 are invited to visit the Easter Bunny and follow clues throughout Vail Village while completing their Easter passport!

King of the Mountain Volleyball

JUNE 13-16, 2024 One of Vail's longest running sporting events, King of the Mountain Volleyball has been a part of each summer since 1972. Drawing hundreds of teams from all over the Rocky Mountain region, this tournament takes place over Father's Day weekend each year.

Vail Lacrosse Shootout

JUNE 29-JULY 7, 2024 The Vail Lacrosse Shootout is one of the country's largest annual lacrosse tournaments. Taking place in Vail since 1973, the Vail Lacrosse Shootout draws teams of all levels from all over the country.

52nd Annual Fred Ammer Vail Invitational Soccer Tournament

JULY 19-21, 2024 Vail Recreation District and Vail Valley Soccer Club unite in welcoming the top men's teams and women's from across the country to one of the toughest tournaments in the Rocky Mountains. Games are played throughout Vail, EagleVail and Edwards. Spectators are welcome and volunteers are always sought for the event.

Businesses, Bogeys, & Bragging Rights Charity Golf Tournament

SEPT. 12, 2024 The Vail Recreation District (VRD) and Vail Chamber & Business Association (VCBA) will host the 11th annual Businesses, Bogeys and Bragging Rights Community Golf Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024 at the Vail Golf Club to benefit the VRD's Tom Slaughter Jr. Memorial Youth Recreation Grant.

Trick or Treat Trot

OCT. 31, 2023 Get ready for Halloween fun! The Vail Recreation District will host the 31st Annual Trick or Treat Trot on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023. The Trick or Treat Trot is a great opportunity for kids to trick-or-treat through the streets of Vail from 2 to 5 p.m.
