Children are children wherever they are: They love fun, they love to learn and they love to be with friends, old and new. VRD celebrates resident and visiting youth by providing top-notch facilities, camps, classes, leagues and events geared toward the things they're interested in - whether it's improvement at a sport, discovering our alpine environment, or just plain having fun. Art Studio

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED | ALL AGES VRD staff will provide materials and teach some simple techniques that are too messy or too tough to try to do on your own at home. Plan to have a great time while you make a mess.

Cocktails & Canvas

AGES 16+ These creative and social events take place on Friday evenings, January 26, February 2, February 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Imagination Station.

Ice Bumper Cars

YEAR ROUND | 48 INCHES AND TALLER Dobson Arena is pleased to offer Ice Bumper Cars, an exciting activity that's fun for the whole family! Ice Bumper Cars offer an opportunity for children and adults to zoom around, spin and bump their way to a good time.

Imagination Station

YEAR ROUND | ALL AGES The Imagination Station, a thoughtful play space, that has several features to inspire experimental play, an everbright that encourages creativity and collaborative art, a hyperbolic funnel that models the planetary motion, and a health clinic that promotes imaginative play where children can provide care for dogs, cats and babies.

Paint Your Own Pottery

YEAR ROUND | ALL AGES You choose and buy unpainted pottery that becomes your canvas. Paint simple designs or a masterpiece, then we glaze and fire. Make a gift, design a keepsake or personalize your morning coffee mug.

Public Skating & Hockey

YEAR ROUND | ALL AGES Dobson Arena offers public skating and public stick-and-puck hockey. Dates and times vary, please see the schedule for upcoming sessions.

Vail Gymnastics Center Open Gym

YEAR ROUND | ALL AGES Open gym offers athletes of all levels an opportunity to utilize the Gymnastics Center equipment including trampoline, tumbling mat, foam pit and more. Please see our schedule for holiday closures and available dates. Please register in advance to guarantee availability.

SUMMER | ALL AGES The Zeke M. Pierce Skatepark is open every day in the summer, dawn to 11 p.m, weather permitting.
