We enjoyed a bustling 2022 tennis season at the Bill Wright Tennis Center! Throughout the season, we had full weekly programming with waitlists. We needed three tennis pros working to meet the demand for tennis lessons. Most of our patrons are seasonal residents, who live in Vail all summer and enjoy our programming. We also hosted many tourists (here for one- or two-week stays), who've returned to our facility for many years.
The majority of tennis participants were seasonal residents, who utilized the Tennis Center all summer long and participated in our clinics and drop-in play!

Youth tennis camps were full for eight weeks of summer, filling 4-6 courts.

Wednesday ladies drop-in sessions were full with six courts and a waitlist with 30 players.

More Highlights

New for 2022, USTA leagues: three different teams played twice weekly in the evenings on four courts, August & September.
We were the home facility for our high school tennis team, with five home matches over the season.
We had an increased amount of afternoon tennis interest. In years past, afternoon play has been much slower than morning play, but 2022 saw an increase in p.m. play.
