Come Join Us for the Longest Day of the Year!

Coinciding with the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice trail run is arguably the most enjoyable race in the Vail Trail Running Series. Beginning and ending in the lawn in front of the Beaver Creek Chophouse adjacent to the Centennial lift in the heart of Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Keep a look out for our beautiful state flower, the columbine! Enjoy some breath taking views and smell the wildflowers that are in full bloom as you traverse across the World Class Beaver Creek Ski Resort. Runners will enjoy some of Beaver Creek's best trails, including Aspen Glade and Allie's Way. This rite of summer is not to be missed.

About the Vail Valley Charitable Fund

Formed in 1996 as a Colorado 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Vail Valley Charitable Fund’s goals are to continue to raise funds by events, grants, and corporate and individual donations, raise community awareness, engage more volunteers in this worthwhile cause, and continue to help people in need in the community.

In 2005, 2008 and 2016, the Vail Valley Charitable Fund received the ‘Success Connection Award for Non-Profit Organization of the Year’ from the Vail Valley Partnership. The Vail Daily Reader’s Poll also selected the VVCF as one of the three best Non-Profit Organizations in the Vail community.

Last year, more than $450,000 was raised and distributed to directly offset the expenses involved with: injuries sustained in a serious car accident; several individuals battling cancer; intensive care for a severely premature infant; recuperation from heart attack and stroke; and much more.
